HOA Rules for Displaying the Flag

Why should somthing like the disposition of the American flag matter, you ask? Why can’t the association just look the other way? Picking and choosing which rules to selectively enforce is a dangerous game. HOA’s must honor and uphold the covenants agreed to between ALL the neighbors. Legally, a homeowner’s association cannot afford to be selective; they must consistently enforce all rules.

HOA Board Resolutions

When is it appropriate for a homeowners’ association board to craft a resolution? Resolutions are more formal than a simple motion. They should be used whenever the issue is complex, lengthy or formal.

Covenant Enforcement Policies

Not all homeowners’ associations have inherited governing documents in which accountability is clearly spelled out. Not having a policy in place to enforce the CC&Rs is like putting your board members in a canoe without paddles.
